About Us.
A gynaecologist living on an avocado farm. While it’s definitely not your everyday setting, it’s the inspiration behind KädōUbuhle and how this natural beauty range was discovered. When we came across the natural raw products found in avocados and their benefits, we were stunned. Never did we imagine that avocados could be nature’s secret ingredient to help us heal and look beautiful in a more natural way.
The more we worked with the raw products and got closer to what we now know as our final product, the more excited and passionate we became. We only use high-quality raw avocado products to create the KädōUbuhle range. The same factory where we obtain our raw products from, exports the majority of their products to Europe for cosmetic purposes.
With that in mind, we decided to launch KädōUbuhle for the South African market. It’s a proudly South African product made from the fruit grown on African soil, a true gift from nature.
About the Farm.
At Earthfood Trading Company, we have a deep love for nature. Over time we’ve cultivated a passion for farming. We started off with an avocado and litchi producing farm called Grysappel. Eventually, we expanded by acquiring a second farm called Letaba Drift. Both farms are nestled in the beautiful George’s Valley region that forms part of the Magoebaskloof Mountain range. This area is situated close to the town of Tzaneen in the beautiful Limpopo province.
After becoming provisioned with avocado and litchi farming, we expanded the Earthfood Trading Company range firstly with granadilla orchids and later dragon fruit. Through diversification, we’re now able to provide our customers with not only avocados, which still remains our primary focus, but other delicious, fresh fruits from the farm as well.
Our aim is to not only provide for ourselves, but also to empower and uplift other members of the Earthfood Trading Company community. We achieve this by sourcing a variety of locally produced quality products for our urban customers.
We believe in sustainable farming by applying new technology like our real-time, water level monitoring irrigation system. This allows us to water more efficiently and preserve this precious resource. It’s important to us to deliver good quality produce to our customers. This reflects in our GLOBALG.A.P. registration, which ensures that we maintain high-quality standards, ethical as well as environmentally friendly farming practices.
